Here's the mask I shall be wearing in Venice.
It's one of the first leather masks I ever made, and I don't think I can ever quite repeat this design.
I wanted it to look as though it was made of bone or ivory, and be suggestive of a bird skull.

Ah, the spookiness I like. There's something creepy about bird skulls, I think they always look so alien.

wow! i didn't think this was leather when i first saw it! you have really captured that bone-y feeling. it looks natural like leather or bone, but also sturdy like ceramic... great job- simplicity rules!
