Latest mask - made to the same pattern as 'Valerian', though altered very slightly. This is the result of my experiments with airbrushing leather dyes. I was aiming for a rippled water effect - though I think this look would be equally effective as flames in reds and oranges.

You definitely pulled off the effect. If definitely has a wet look, and the light reflections look like streaks of sunlight on a pool of water. Very nice.

Wow that's awesome, even better for me being able to visualise how it looks now ;) It definitely has a water-like effect, that's the first thing I thought of when I saw it. You could also try adding a bit of white to it too as an experiment, as water of has a tiny bit of white in (and would improve the contrast). I think it looks perfect though! I also love the purple at the very tips, it goes very well with the gold in a strange sort of way.

Ohh - nice idea - white highlights, like sunlight sparkling on water. I really like that, and might have to experiment a bit with my airbrushing techniques. Yay!
